A rammed stage and a rammed mixing desk. People just kept turning up and tuning in. However, it created some great moments of collective inventiveness and demonstrations of pure persistence, like the three-piece suite that is 'Grate Expectations', Ella's clarinet on 'Open The Gates', James' banjo, Ramon's superb drumming ... I could just go on and mention everybody, because at some point everybody shone. There was little room on the stage, so I went for the close-up with the photos ...
