Another hot session, I spent most of the time sweating buckets. It was a good one though, with gleeful moments sliding off-piste. We had no bass as Jon turned up with an electric guitar, so Matthew took his home and returned with his bass guitar. There was instrument-swapping on stage too, my favourite personal moment being on 'Muster The Forces', where I was having trouble playing the drums in time, so David came and took over, stick by stick. It takes over 12 minutes for 'Gwendolen' to coalesce! We were stopped just as 'More Than It Was' was hotting up, to allow a live interview by Made in Bristol TV in the auditorium. Picked it up again superbly with 'Hopscotch / Where Are My Keys?', but it was when Jean-Michel picked up the bass that I had my most fun, playing 'Chase The Bass'. A thoroughly enjoyable final session before the summer break ...
